Hello my name is Gene Warrington (Col. Gene). I started riding dirt bikes in about 1970 and gradually got into street riding. The street riding came about as I was Police officer and in charge of the motorcycle division and trained 5 other officers to ride. I retired from the department in 1991 after 26 years and started my own auction company, Square Deal Auctions. I am also a world wide licensed square dance caller and recording artist. I believe that motorcycle safety is the most important part of riding. I currently ride a 2005 Honda Shadow 1100 and have a lot of extra chrome toys on it. I am a member of Northern Illinois Southern Cruisers, Honda riders club, FOP lodge 14 and a support member of my wife’s Women on Wheels chapter. I live in Hampshire IL with my wife on a small farm where I also restore and collect Allis Chalmers tractors. My wife (Sue Thatcher) is a lead instructor and I will be assisting her. I can be contacted at: sqdla@aol.com or home phone 847-683-4936, cell phone 847-456-9728.
