Last June I was in an accident on Sturrow Drive in Boston. To avoid a collision I controlled dumped. I shattered my wrist, but otherwise was okay. While on the ground I realized no one knew what to do in these situations so I directed folks to call 911, leave my helmet on, and then made light of it all. I really think the Accident Scene Management training I took informed my decisions, my resolve during the chaos, and kept me safe. I am not afraid to ride, although still healing, and I want to continue learning safety and first responder practices so when/if I witness an accident I can help mitigate damage through further training.
