Jacqueline “Jackie” Port, Paramedic (retired) – ASM Lead Instructor

Palm Coast, FL – Jackie is a retired paramedic from upstate NY. She became an EMT in 2004, and in 2007 became a paramedic. In 2014 two things happened that changed her career. Jackie explained, “My husband and I moved to Florida at which time I hung up my medic sign and retired from the best job that I ever had. With that said, I did not retire from the medical field. I took more classes and became a medical assistant.”

Since that time Jackie has worked with pediatric and primary care physicians. While moving from one primary care office she tried her hand at dispatching for a police department but found that was not her “cup of tea”. In short, Jackie has been in the medical field in one form or another for the past 22 years. She loves teaching and was a certified CIC for BLS which means she taught new EMTs and assisted in teaching new medics. Jackie said, “I look forward to bringing my knowledge to motorcycle riders and assisting them in learning a new skill.”

Jackie started riding in 1996 as a passenger on the back of her husband’s 1984 FXR. After 4 years, she decided to try riding for herself and says that she “fell in love with riding and the whole culture”. After taking a course in 2001, she bought her first Harley. Since then, she has purchased 5 more bikes and says, “I still love riding and having my knees in the breeze!”
