Jim has been an avid motorcycle enthusiast since he was age 8. Jim lost his right hand in a tragic accident when he was 7 years old and his doctor thought driving a motorcycle/dirt bike might be the best exercise for what was left of his right hand and the one finger he has left. His parents bought a 1969 Honda Z50 mini bike and the rest is history. Who knew it would be something he still loves over 40 years later. Jim now drives a Honda CBX1000 after losing his beloved V65 Prototype to his wife and soul mate Bobbi. Jim has been a volunteer EMT since 1980 for the Florence County Rescue Squad, vowing to care for each individual who was there by his side when tragedy struck again, this time at age 14 when a tree fell on him as he was operating a skidder for his dads logging business. His injuries included breaking his hips, pelvis, back, facial bones, eye sockets, and destroying many internal organs. Jim is a certified SCUBA diver, a member of the Florence County HAZMAT team and has been on the Florence Volunteer Fire Dept. since 1987. Jim is also a teaching assistant for NWTC EMT class and instructor for CPR. Jim works with fire departments in Wisconsin and Upper MI in vehicle extrication. Jim would love to set up a class for your group. He can be reached by filling out this form online.
