On January 29th I got the privilege to speak in front of the AZ State Public Safety Committee for the Motorcycle Safety Fund. Did you know $1 of your motorcycle registration goes into it? Did you know it might go away forever? I spoke of all scholarships AMSAF Arizona has, and their importance, as well as how Accident Scene Management saves lives. Education is KEY to injury prevention!
I want to give special thanks to Chairman Payne, Senators who sat on the Committee, Senator Shawnna Bolick for introducing us, ABATE of Arizona, and lobbyist Michael Infanzon for all of the behind the scene work with our Legislators to inform them of the importance. This SB 1107 bill also states the funds cannot be used for anything other than motorcycle safety and awareness initiatives. We passed the committee 100%! What can YOU do? Contact your local Legislators to pass the bill SB 1107 when it gets to the next steps on the senate floor.
