Setting A World Record in Rockford

This June, Women Riders Are Setting A World Record in Rockford. You Should Be One Of Them.

Picture hundreds of women rolling out together on one escorted, non-stop ride, going for the world record for the most women on a motorcycle ride at the same time. That’s not a someday idea. That’s June 13, 2026, in Rockford, Illinois, and there’s a spot in that ride with your name on it.

It’s called Get Your Groove On 2026, the largest women-only moto event in the Midwest, hosted by Midwest Women Riders and backed by title sponsor Harley-Davidson. Three days, June 11-13. One historic ride. And a whole weekend built around women who ride their own.

A weekend you can’t get anywhere else

GYGO isn’t a swap meet with a few activities bolted on. It’s a women-only weekend put together by women who ride, and it shows. Ellie Rains, Vivian McCain, and Debbie Ratkowski are the dynamic team from Midwest Women Riders who put it all together. There are workshops and guided rides, vendors, raffle baskets, a 50/50, loot bags, live entertainment, and a Saturday night party. There’s a special screening of the documentary Biker Women, the story of four California women who rode 3,000 miles to Sturgis. And running through all of it is the sisterhood that only shows up when you put hundreds of women together to ride in the same place at the same time.

Then there’s the record. An escorted, non-stop group ride, every woman on her own bike, going for a number nobody’s hit before. You’ll be able to say you were there. You’ll be able to say you were in it.

The women you’ll get to learn from

Half the reason to come is who’s going to be on that stage. The GYGO2026 lineup is a who’s who of women in motorcycling, legends, record-breakers, and trailblazers, and you’ll be in the room with them:

  • Gloria Tramontin Struck, 100 years old with more than 80 years on two wheels, AMA and Sturgis Hall of Fame inductee, and author of “A Lifetime Motorcyclist”
  • Karen Davidson, as the Granddaughter of Founder William Davidson, Karen is a Harley-Davidson icon and lifelong champion of women riders
  • Cris Sommer Simmons and Gevin Fax, both are featured in the Biker Women documentary screening at the event. Cris is an author and an antique motorcycle rider. Gevin, a school teacher and actress has appeared in many women’s books and publications
  • Wendy Crockett, the first woman ever to win the Iron Butt Rally, an 11 day – 11,000 mile journey. She is known for her competitive nature and breaking records.
  • Terri “T” Collier, who rode from Florida to Alaska in 13 days for the Hoka Hey Challenge and raised $132,000 for charity, with her “Just Ride The Motorcycle” workshop
  • Michele Wierzgac and Marilyn “Sparkle” Castillo, Iron Butt riders on what long-distance riding really takes
  • Debi Wilder on international adventure riding, and Ronda Brown on three years living life on the open road
  • Amanda “Mandy” Huffman, a 6th-degree black belt and pro fighter, teaching a women’s self-defense seminar made for riders

And our own Vicki Sanfelipo, RN, the rider you know as Spitfire and the founder of Accident Scene Management AKA Road Guardians. Vicki’s bringing her session “The cABCSS of Trauma: Learn to Help a Friend in Need,” giving know-how tips that can change how a bad day on the road ends. It’s the kind of thing every rider in that group ride should walk away with, and she’s a Sturgis Hall of Fame inductee who teaches it like the nurse and avid rider she is.

Grab your spot

You have to be a ticket holder to get in, while the full 3 day weekend tickets have been closed, you can still purchase tickets for the ride on Saturday. Tickets are available at: MWRGYGO2026WRFR.eventbrite.com. More details are shared daily on the Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1548452199711491/

If you ride your own, this is the one to be at. And if you know a woman who rides, send her this, because the record’s going to be bigger and the weekend’s going to be better with more of us in it.

See you in Rockford!
