
He has a true passion for motorcycles, and finds time to be an instructor with ABATE of Wisconsin’s “Share the Road” program which trains automobile drivers how to safely interact with motorcycles on the road. In 2009, he was the recipient of the ABATE of Wisconsin Founders Freedom Fighter Award for his advocacy work in fatal right of way violations. He is a member of ABATE of Wisconsin, Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF), American Motorcycle Association (AMA), The Harley Owners Group (HOG), a life charter member of The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame, a Founding Member of the Harley Davidson Museum and a Charter Member of the Road Guardians Certified Program as well as serving on their Advisory Committee. Along with being an ASM instructor Steve is also an American Heart Association Instructor certified to teach all levels of CPR and First Aid including Healthcare Providers. He Rides a 2004 Electra Glide and finds time to get at least 17,000 miles a year on to, as he puts it, “Stay focused on what is important”.
