Susan has been involved in motorcycling from the rear seat most of her life. Growing up in a small town, she can remember the boys avoiding her because they were afraid of her “Biker Dad”. After the Harley 100th she grew frustrated at being dependent on her husband or friends when she wanted to go riding. So she decided it was time to take a Rider Safety Course and move to the controls of her own bike. She is a member of A. B. A. T. E., The Iron Butt Association and The Harley Owners Group. A Women in Motion Road Guard and Certified Road Guardian, she rides a 2005 Harley Davidson Road King Classic. Susan, a Registered Nurse, began her involvement in emergency medical care as an Emergency Medical Technician in 1992. Her career includes Emergency Nursing, On Call Staffing and Acute Care Nursing. Susan is a C. P. R. Instructor, certified by the American Heart Association. She teaches a wide variety of classes, including Health Care Provider, First Aid and Defibrillator use for single students and groups in area hospitals, homes and businesses.
