Take your Refresher course from the comfort and convenience of your own home! Of course a hands on refresher is preferred but when that is not available, an online refresher will satisfy the every two year requirement to maintain your certification.
In order to be eligible for a refresher class you must have taken a Basic, Advanced or Refresher class within the last 2 years. Expiration is “soft” meaning that if you take a refresher within 6 months of expiration it is acceptable. This is done to encourage hands on refreshers which are not as readily available as Basic and Advanced classes. If you are taking the Advanced refresher, there is no need to purchase the Basic.

You will have one month after purchase to complete your refresher. The refresher can be completed in as many sessions as you wish. Expect 1 – 1.5 hours total to complete the training in full unless, of course, you tab through each slide without stopping to read and process the information. We recommend that you have a full faced helmet available and practice that skill while doing the refresher. We also recommend that you practice putting someone in a Recovery Position, practicing spinal alignment during that process. Once you have completed the course you will enter your name and e-mail and submit which will notify us that you have completed the course. You will receive an e-mail from us within 4 days with a PDF attachment of your certificate of completion which will be good for two years.
Note: Once you pay for your class, your browser will automatically return you to the refresher course page. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link. You do not need to be a member to purchase the online courses but you must have completed the ASM Basic or Advanced class in person at some point in the past.
Basic ($30.00)
Review what to do in the first 5-30 minutes after a crash until professional help arrives. Helmet removal, jaw thrust, and moving the injured are all addressed in this refresher class. This class also helps to prepare students for the Advanced Class if some time has lapsed.
Advanced ($35.00)
Review how to be a leader at a scene as well as how to assist the EMS when they arrive.
