Question: How can I get a class going in my area?
Now is the perfect time of year to begin the process of hosting an ASM class. Getting yourself and the people around you trained so they can help someone in need is the perfect GIFT. Do you belong to a group or organization? Then you can simply start by asking the question: Who would be interested in taking a class called, A Crash Course for the Motorcyclist? It is a Motorcycle First Responder class and will teach you how to help if someone goes down. It is a full day of training but goes into everything from traffic control to prioritizing care. Moving the injured, Helmet Removal, Jaw Thrust Rescue Breathing, Stopping Bleeding, and Spinal Stabilization are all techniques that are taught and practiced.
We have a great article that gives more in depth details:
Here is a video that discusses how to Host a class and how ASM can help you get a class off the ground.
