Who is Spitfire?

Road Guardians Executive Director gets asked questions all the time.  We thought it was time to start posting some of your questions and her responses.  If you are not familiar with her here is a little bio that touches on some of the amazing things she has dedicated her life to.

Vicki Roberts-Sanfelipo, RN- ASM Founder & Author of ASM educational programs, Executive Director ASM/Road Guardians

Milwaukee, WI – Vicki, AKA “Spitfire”,  established the non-profit organization Accident Scene Management in 1996 in order to reduce injuries and fatalities to motorcyclists through First Response training. Vicki has been an RN since 1984 and worked for over 25 years in a variety of hospital settings from Critical Care to the Operating Room. She retired from her hospital work in 2010 to concentrate on training motorcyclists full time.

In her spare time, Vicki teaches CPR, Defibrillators, and First Aid for the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. She has a website, CPR-1stAid, where she sells Emergency related supplies for motorcyclists.

Vicki has been riding her own motorcycle since 1987. She is a member of many motorcycle organizations including the Iron Butt Association. She rides cross country with the Motorcycle Cannonball and the Motorcycle Chase every year providing medical support. She was inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2020 due to her work to establish the world’s most recognized Motorcycle Trauma Training organization and her work with Women & Motorcycling.

Vicki appeared in 4 books about women and motorcycling, has given hundreds of presentations, and has written many articles on motorcycle safety. She was the motorcycle safety spokeswoman for Allstate Rider News for 7 years. She hosted a weekly Blogtalk radio show called the Inside Scoop by Spitfire and she founded two women’s organizations: Women In Motion and Diamond Posse.
